The incident I remember was a Jewish terrorist group (Hagana or Shtern) that tried one late evening in the forties to explode the railway bridge. The attempt failed due to miscalculation. Some of the group members by mistake killed the others in the blast. I still remember the word qadima. I heard it shouted moments before the blast. Parts of the torn bodies, we saw the following morning, had landed in our garden. A second comment is on 'occupation'. The official term is mandate. The first suggests the new state came into being as a result of liberation. This is not true to reality.
