Even though I am not Palestinian, I have Palestinians and their cause at heart. Even for people like myself, this website is a great means for staying in touch with people's sentiments on the ground. It bypasses censored media.

Keep going!

Hello everyone,

I just have a question to all, I hope someone can answer...Isn't Isdud different from Almajdal? I was under the impression that they were completely seperate, and that Almajdal is a city, while Isdud is a village.

Posted by Dr.Hala Al. on MAY-1-2003    ID#=4048

Salaam everybody, no matter were we were born or raised or we are living right now we all love our country not just a city and we all live in a hope that one day we will see and live in the land that our parents and grandfathers and grandmothers told us many stories. My story is almost typical like any palestinian family, My family originally from Almajdal, I was born in Gaza and raised in Kuwait, and now we are living in the USA, but believe me we all still living and hoping that one day we will make it there and we will make our grandfathers and mothers dreams come true.
Take care.

My name is Walid Mohammad Khalid Batrawi, a Palestinian Journalist living in Ramallah. I am originally from Isdud. My father Mohammad Khalid Ibrahim Batrawi has been telling us many stories about his village. We all now live in Ramallah and have many relatives in the Gaza Strip. I have never lived in Isdud, but visited its ruins. This website is great and we will do as much as we can to help.

It's a nice website which keeps all of us related to our village. Although I was born in Gaza, it is drawn in the back of my brain that I am a Palestinian from Isdud. That's a fact those bloody Zionists Jews won't be able to erase, which I will pass on to my children.
Well done, hope you continue your efforts, we appreciate very much.
Salam for you all
Dr. Ghassan
