أعلمكم أن الست (لويز ) هي مشتشرقة عاشت عدة سنوات في قرية أرطاس وكان هدفها هو التعرف على الأماكن التي ذكرت في الأنجيل وألفت كتاب مصور (Aportrait of Palestinian Village ) 'طبع بعد وقاتها في عام 1972 وهي من السويد وقد عاشت عدة سنوات في هذه القرية وقامت بتصوير المئات من الصور التي ثمثل مختلف مواحي الحياة في هذه القرية .

هذه الصورة بالقرب من عين ارطاس حيث يقف المختار ابراهيم عايش واحد اولاده,في الخلف يقف الحاج اسماعيل وابو صوي وعودة

حسب معلوماتي يااخوان اسموا احمد اسماعيل وكان مختار قرية ارطاس تقريبا عام 1938 بس انا مش متاكد من المعلومة بس انشالله في اقرب فرصة رح اتاكد واجيب الصح

ارطاس ( الجنة المقفلة ) تقع جنوب بيت لحم وتبعد عنها 3 كيلو متر وعن مدينة القدس خمسة عسرة كيلو وهي من اقدم القرى الفلسطينية يقدر عمر القرية ما يقارب الستة الالف عام، يوجد في القرية العديد من الاماكن الاثرية ومن اهمها برك سليمان وشعب الست الويز - خربة الخوخ - دير البنات - قلعة مراد - الحبس - متحف الحياة الشعبية
