I did personally watch the exodus of Jaffa families from the Jaffa Port, from one of our family's house windows overlooking the Greek Orthodox Convent and the Port....They used to pack themselves in automated and hand-rowed small ( launchers & flokas ) to move outside the Port Inner Basin to reach larger ships outside the Basin.... I will never forget that horrible scene of people being forced to leave their homeland to be robbed and occupied by gangsters imported from the four corners of the world... Salam
