In November 1940 While harvest season was in full bloom, My grandmother (god rest her soul) gave birth to my father in Kunaysa, where the family owns to this day almost 1000 donums of land in the area, My Grandfather (god rest his soul) Al Haj Rashid Abdallah Dawoud was the mokhtar of the village of Beit Duqo and whom had bought all this land in Kunaysa, was at that time in Beit Duqo and word was sent to him that he has a son, he came by horse and took the child back to Beit Duqo in the Jerusalem district, my father went back to kunaysa many times ofcourse over the course of his life. I had opportunity over the past 30 years to visit Kunaysa in the 70's and 80's with my grandfather and then by myself and with my dad. The house that was where my dad was born some parts of it are still standing ((I believe its the only thing left there)). Our land is still there although we arent allowed on it, and it was being used to grow cotton by israelis last time I saw it.
